    Would anybody prefer that the global hegemon be China, Russia, or some other country with ambitions to displace and replace the USA? One of the nations is likely going to be dominant, so which other nation should it be? Which other nation has the capability?

    @T P Q Why would one of the nations want to dominate? By what right? All nations are equal and human life is important everywhere.

    @kuchinster Why would a nation need a right? What right has any nation in history needed to dominate or try to dominate others? Striving for dominance is the default of human history from the city states of Sumeria, to ancient Greece, to Persia, to Rome, to the Mongolian Khanate, to the French empire, to the British empire, to the USA and many, many nations and state forms in between. Even today, Communist China has dominated Tibet, Inner Mongolia, Manchuria and East Turkistan. What right did they need other than their desire to dominate and the power to do so?
